Description
The project includes the developing “MEGA (Mobile Electricity Generating Appliance), an affordable, portable solar PV-EV charger for residential homeowners and renters. It fulfills the need for a portable, powerful grid-tied electrical appliance which can wheeled around freely, feeding renewable energy into the electric grid. The MEGA can be deployed and used as a carport, solar electricity generator and EV charger in driveways.
Services Provided
EEDAS provided structural design and FEA analysis of all framing post, rail, panel etc including all connections, bolt, clamping, welding etc for the system validated for North Carolina State. Two (2) different type of anchorage are selected, one is typical ground mounted without wheels and the other one is mounted with wheels as portable option. The maximum height of the system is 10 feet.
